Willa Knight Dweller? Bad-ass? Notorious pet to five magical beings?

In Blesswood, there are rules, and someone is trying to teach her how to follow them. The only problem is Willa. Which shouldn’t be anything new, since she has been a problem since birth—something her pseudo-sister Emmy would agree on.

So it definitely shouldn’t be new … but it is.

Because things are starting to happen that have never happened before.

Things are starting to get …chaotic.

This is a full novel, 90,000 words. Book 2 of 5 in the Curse of the Gods Series

Persuasion Curse of the Gods Book 2 eBook Jane Washington Jaymin Eve

I loved Trickery and had ridiculously high expectations for Persuasion. Expectations so high that I honestly couldn't expect them to be met. Never underestimate the JJ's. Persuasion is excellent, excellent, excellent. Without a doubt, I have never loved a lead female like I love Willa with her ridiculous (in the best way) inner monologue, and the Abcurse's are beyond male perfection. Jane Washington and Jaymin Eve are two talented writers individually. Together, they are brilliant.

The book picks back up at Blesswood. Willa is tied to the 5 Abcurse brothers, so she has to be with at least one at all times. She has moved into their rooms, takes classes with them. They have accepted her completely as one of the family. She has turned parts of their lives upside down; she still gets herself into the most ridiculous situations with her clumsiness, her impulsiveness, her uniqueness. She also entertains them completely, brings out a protective quality in them, and opens their eyes to the world beyond their own existence.

This book expands our knowledge of Topia, the gods, and the curse of Rau. There's so much going on. Willa has everyone's focus which puts her in danger. The Sols resent her for not knowing her place, the Dwellers are starting to rebel wanting a life more like hers, and the gods are up to no good. Each group is planning and plotting and Willa is caught up in their plans. She blunders her way through each new threat; sometimes with pure luck, sometimes with her own brand of ingenuity, sometimes with the strange new powers she sporadically has, and sometimes with the direct intervention of the Abcurses. It takes a lot to keep Willa in one piece.

We also get more of Willa and the brothers. Her relationship with each one is unique. Yael, Siret, Rome, Aros and Coen are all complete individuals. She needs each one in a different way and they respond to her distinctively. It's slow moving, but the bond is deepening. The connection goes beyond the curse and when tested, the brothers show that they want Willa in their lives. The emotion they show for her when she's been in danger or missing gives me the warm fuzzies. I want more! There's a bit of kissing, lots of touching, and plenty of nakedness, despite the pact and the new rule. Again, I want more!

It's clear the world is changing. Blesswood itself is on the edge of pandemonium. The gods, Sols, and dwellers are all going to have to make changes, and the change won't be easy. Willa has triggered some of this and will be swept up in the turmoil, no doubt. The Abcurse's now have an idea about Willa's role in this discord, and at the very end provoke her to get their proof. What they prove changes everything once again. Willa's life just got even more complicated. She thought that she didn't fit in before, now she know's where to place herself (if not what to call herself), but she can't fulfill her new role for the sake of the world. She's definitely in over her head, but the Abcurse's will be right there with her.

This book is brilliant. Original, well written, funny, sexy, suspenseful. JJ's I can't wait for the next one!

Persuasion Curse of the Gods Book 2 eBook Jane Washington Jaymin Eve Reviews

Once you've started a series, you hope that all of the books are as awesome as the first book. You hope, but frankly, how can it happen? It's sort of like the second and third movies can never be as good as the first. You hope it is, but don't hold your breath. Well, let me tell you something. It was just as fantastic as the first, almost better.

Going into this book, you're already in love with Willa and the Abcurse brothers. You know that Willa is going to take you on a fantastic ride and this book does. not. disappoint. You fall in love even more with Willa. You get to learn and know more about those wonderful boys. And the icing on the cake? She doesn't have to choose just one! SHE GETS THEM ALL. Hell to the freaking yes. Sign. Me. Up.

Yes, this is a RH (reverse harem) and before you turn your nose up at this, because I have friends and family who have, you must start at the beginning. You must read Trickery. You'll be glad you did and yes, I started my cousin on this wild ride and she was constantly laughing out loud reading Trickery and Persuasion. And she was the nose turner.

I constantly found myself highlighting scenes or Willaisms. Just to name a few... the shower scene (no, it's not what you're thinking), her eating pasta and my most favorite scene? Ending up yet again in the cave of banishment. Or my favorite word of the decade... Shweed. Oh my gosh. I look forward to book three. I'm sad that there will only be 5 books. I could seriously read about Willa and her boys for 20 books and never get tired of reading about them.
I can not get enough of this cast of characters! I just can't! I love everything about this world and the people in it. I even love the freaking Jefferys and Steves. One of my favorite series, it never it get old, it almost mandatory rereads. Thank you far an absolutely amazing book! I am desperately awaiting book 3!
I wanted a bit more from this book, however I knew with it only being second in more to come I knew some things would be left out. With that being said, this series of books is one of the few I have reread due to just enjoying Willa. When you take into account the amount of Chaos this character should bring, and view it from that angle, it fits with the constant falling trying to be care free clutz I have come to seriously enjoy. My only stipulation is the Abcurse brothers need just a few more personal characteristics on each, a deeper view into each characters traits and personalities and skillsets. It started out nicely with her viewing them in her dreams, but then suddenly dropped off to where the only thing we get is caveman style mine. I also believe this title should have been Trickery instead of the last one, as this one centered a lot around her interaction with him. Overall I love it, even if I am not fully satisfied due to wanting MORE of the story. I'm the type that wants a 900 page book to get it all in one go, instead of the cruel punishment of waiting for more to come out over time.
Let me be clear here, I want the third book now and I'm not above whining like a bitch until I get it.

Grump, grump, grump! )

Persuasion was just great! Loved it as much as Trickery - the sense of the ridiculous was strong and I laughed out loud many times.

Now, how 'bout that third book?
